I wasn't sure which side to do so i did the same as my friend... then i did some research and found the history of nose piercing. I found that supposedly piercing the left side is helpful in relieving some "female" problems: painful childbirth and menstrual cramps. I ha vent given birth but it hasn't seemed to help the cramps...

it really depends on the region.

where i used to live (now it's different) i was poked fun at all the time..

here where i am now.. they don't even see it.

times have also changed. i had a nose ring for years... of course it's changed in gauge.. it's much larger now but no one sees it.

it's almost like... i don't have one and i have a 6ga. nose ring.

sighs.

i'm also 70% tattooed and no one really sees it any more.. and i'm around new groups of folks most times.

some make a hoot but it's different i'm not like scuz of the earth's core or a racist.. i'm just an artist with alot of ink on my body.

i didn't like the racist remarks. i was like wait a second i'm mixed race and what does peircings and tattoos have to do with being a racist???!!!

long story short.. it depends on the region you're at.

and for the stereotype on side.. that was more or less an earlobe thing.

nose's didn't have that trouble. not that i'm aware of.. and i've had my nose punctured since 1983.

left side.. i'm a leftist for some reason.

If you honestly cared how others would stereotype you; you would reconsider getting your nose pierced at all.

You cannot control the thoughts of others, so just focus on your own. Most importantly continue to self-define yourself and think less of the world's opinion, but realize if you don't have a star on your belly you will stick out.

When I worked on a farm we used to take the nose ring pliers and hold the hog as still as possible and then clamp that ring into its nose to keep the swine from rooting up the garden.

Is this sort of what you had in mind?

Big rings look much better and will give your boyfriend something to lead you around with or on a leash.

If you get it pierced on the right side you will never be able to get a job that pays more then $7 per hour.

If you get it pierced on the left all the other kids parents will snub you at the PTA.

Uh I didnt know there was any to begin with? And anyone who says anything about it being on one side or another is stupid and ignorant. Be prepared to feel as if you were punched in the nose, HARD!

I dont think so but be sure to get the small nose piercing there is, otherwise it looks skanky and only get a tiny diamond. Your nose will be red for so long and that looks dirty too but thats your choice.

I don't think so, I've never heard one about the nose, only the ears! But, then again, I'm not an expert on nose piercing...

No I think the latest style is to put a large ring through both sides.

I just saw that in a recent bullfighting movie on TV (or maybe it was a barnyard pig story)
