Yes there are legitimate surveys sites, personally I belong to the "top five" and I just spend about an hour a night doing surveys, best thing is I get paid good money monthly

Some of them are real, however they are a waste of time in my opinion. You have to pay to get better surveys (ones that give you more points) and if you don't then you get about 0.2 points. To get anything decent you will need over 200 points so thats a lot of surveys to complete before being able to get anything. Some of the surveys are also a bit risky because they ask for personal information and phone numbers etc. Also my anti-virus wouldn't let me on certain surveys so thats a bit worrying. Basically you have to pay for it if you want anything out of it.

It depends. Some of them just put you in a sweepstakes drawing or a raffle. However, gozing.com and mysurvey.com have both paid me cash to take surveys. Mind you, it is never more than $1 per survey, sometimes $3 for longer ones, so it isn't something you can make a living doing.

Most of them are legitimate, but as with anything else you got to check them out a little bit. I use to do surveys for Survey Savvy and got much as 50 dollars for surveys but I don't know how much they give now.

Best, legal and safe way to earn on internet is by joining paid survey sites. Paid survey sites pay you for your opinion on various topics.
Don’t pay for any survey program to join. There are many free to join paid survey like survey savvy they pay more then 5 $ per survey. Always check for on which site you are registering is BBB (Better Business Bureaus) certified.

some may be but i shy away from them because they could be a scam and somehow rip you off and be careful giving your name, age, date of birth and other information, they may try to apply for credit with your information

just be careful--some of them install "spyware" on your pc via your access to their site .
