of course the egg came first, and the chicken was the mutation (gradually, through many mutations) the question may be better asked, what came first, the cell or the egg''even that question is easily answered these days. seems to me the better philosophical question is, if a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound if no-one is there to hear it

I don't really care much what Durwood said, I'm just glad we have chicken and eggs.

Good question...I am completely sick of the chicken and egg question myself! The tree falling in the forest question can be answered by breaking it down, in a similar way to the egg question. Sound is essentially a difference in pressure in the air. We know that a tree falling makes a sound if we are there to hear it. So we know that the tree falling will make a difference in air pressure, whether someone is there to hear it or not. Hence, yes, the tree falling will still make a sound.

Charles Darwin got some things right and some things wrong and this was proven many years ago. As for the chicken or egg. The chicken can first Genesis Chapter 1 verse 21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every WINGED FOWL after his kind and God saw that it was good. This is what I believe anyway.

Did you really get the thought of the question before or not???
Impliedly stated, the question really wanted to say whether YOU would rather believe in SCIENCE OR RELIGION... If you'd choose that Chicken came first, You are a believer of God, but if you'd say it's the egg, then You'd prefer science rather than God. So, it's not philosophical, BUT, moral...

Yes but Darwin was a fraud. It was the chicken. The evolution theor is so full of holes it isn't even funny. That is why there are no missing links. If there were we would find them. By the way Dr. Louis Leakey was a fraud as well with Lucy.

the proto-chicken laid the 1st chicken egg.. it's so biologically obvious.

but so is the fact that a tree doesn't make a sound without a perceiver. It isn't really disputable...

Nope, the chicken came first, fully formed and functional. Darwin was wrong, and evolution is terminally ill. The fossil record is an embarrassment to evolution.
