I just bit off a rattle snake's head. Should I worry about the venom?

don't spit swallow... its good for you .. protein...lol... and don't worry about the venom... it really is not in the whole head..it is stored in a special gland in the mouth...but... it does sound like you may be on your way for a" Darwin "award!... so don't give up yet! lol...

The snake's venom is just the snake's saliva...Swallowing the venom will not hurt you a bit. Had you had any lesions in your mouth, however, you'd have been hurt (because the venom would have gotten into your blood) because many snake venoms affect the neural system. (On the other hand, on further thought, maybe you were affected before...What were you trying to prove by biting off a rattler's head? Do you have rattles in your head?)

it is actually a aboriginal tradition to bite off the head of rattlesnake on ones birthday. so first off, happy birthday. second off, it is very dangerous to have the venom in your system. to remedy it you should drink your own urine.

if you have an ulcer, be very very concerned...holes in the lining of the stomache = poison seeping out into the body. If you dont have ulcers you will be fine, the stomache acid will kill the poisons
