Well one of them,up there with Sheba, Eleanor R,Cleopatra. Truly I believe its time for a change.Look, uhh, well, duh ,uh, mm, errr, (a long blank stare into oblivion you can't see), what we have to deal w / today, at least she will have a better grasp of reality (news of the TT's on the documentary Fahrenheit 911,biased yes, aren't they all?) Check out any Jon Stewart / Colbert report show, they do relate ineptness. She'll have great support ,yeesss her husband, I'd rather have a whore monger than a war monger (helping) run the show, you are only as good as the people you surround yourself with, our present regime is turning on itself like a dog w/ mange, being a woman she will be more likely to consider the young, elderly, and working class, which I am,the in-firmed, and let's not forget our returning soldiers funding for care which has been drastically cut in order aid other countries. Charity begins at home. Take care of those who take care of you. Hillary, I think understands.GOD bless her and us (if its not to late).PS.If she has to have a tramp-stamp I can't think of a better one than the presidential seal.(even if it is on her forehead. I'll vote for her!

No...Victoria was most powerful in all history, because she ruled during the height of England's world empire.
Don't think Hillary can win...she's awfully polarizing, and a lot of people who would ordinarily vote Democratic would vote against her...plus, she won't appeal to any moderates. She'll pull some female votes, who wouldn't ordinarily go to the polls...but not nearly enough to offset the negatives.
Also, I really think that the next election SHOULD be the Democrats to lose...and I think that...after Kerry...they'll be real careful to pick a candidate based on "electibility"...which would put Hillary at the bottom of the list.

That's questionable. If power is measured by the number of people a person is able to kill then I would agree (but only to extent that she would be history's most powerful female commander in chief). Take away the nuclear button and I think "the most powerful woman in modern history" would be more accurate: think about Cleopatra, Elizabeth the First, Queen Victoria...

I can't imagine much worse then Hillary becoming president.
I don't think that her becoming President would make her the most powerful woman in history- we are still hanging on to the last threads of checks and balances in government. I think that what can happen once she becomes president can make her the most powerful woman and THAT is a scary scary thing

I would never want to vote a woman into office just because she is a woman. I would love for a woman to be president, but ask any woman in the Nation this same question, "Wouldn't you want to EARN the presidency, and not just be given it because you are a woman?" Of course she would.

I don't agree with many of the things the Republicans are doing, but I also don't agree with many of the things Democrats are doing. We shouldn't blindly follow one party just because we consider ourselves a Democrat, or consider ourselves a Republican. If anything, we should hold the party we typically vote for even MORE accoutable so as to not let them get away from what attracted us to them in the first place.

Also, I think people should never claim to be liberal or conservative. By doing so, you automatically subscribe to beliefs of that ideaology that are already laid out for you and you don't work out issues on your own. Instead, you subconciously ask, what is the liberal stance on this issue, or what do conservatives think about this issue. What you should be doing is working it out regardless of what a liberal or conservative would think.

I think the title would still belong to Margaret Thatcher because of her class and ruling style. Hillary will not happen

"Human" history?

The chronicle of human history is kept in books, not on websites and blogs...Try reading one on Cleopatra, Catherine the Great, Catherine de Medici, Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria, Woodrow Wilson's wife, Margaret Thatcher....I could go on, but why spoil the fun...
