A person posted a question about this story, what surprised me was that most people said that he got what he deserved for molesting a child. I've read the whole story and I haven't found anything that says that the supposed child molester indeed molested the child in question, only the childs testemony. The father of the child acted on anger and killed the man, but besided what the girl told her mom, no other evidence was found to suggest or pin the man with molesting the child, so why would people assume he did and say things like he got what he deserved. He wasn't a registered sex offender and didn't have anything connecting him with sex crimes against minors on his record besides a DUI, no evidence was presented to support the childs allegations, so how did he get what he deserved?

This is probably one of the best questions ever posted here, good job . But as for an answer, it's very difficult to say. I can see to some degree the father's point of view, when it's your child, you would walk through the depths of hell to protect them and when he heard his daughter was molested, he went on primal instinct.
However, judging the fact there was zero evidence other than a child's testimony to her parents and the fact the murder victim had no previous signs of pedophilia, it may have been very excessive to climb through a window and stab him to death. I would say based on this evidence, this lawyer will be facing definate jail time, perhaps if he had harder evidence of molestation, he could get off on an insanity plea, but as of right now he looks like he will be going down. It's a tough position.
The best thing he can hope for is a police investigation into the life of the murder victim , to seek and dig for any answers or evidence of a possible link to pedophilia. With even a hint of child abusing history, he may be able to get off the charges.

I guess with him being an attorney, he realized that if the guy was guilty, nothing would happen to him anyway. He just took premature justice into his own hands.
Molestation of a 2-yr-old is a rather suspect charge; how did the girl even communicate the alleged event to anyone? Being that young, it would not be that hard to determine whether she had been molested through a medical exam. Or, is this some other definition of molestation?

this is the secularisation of Europe that has enabled those situations to develop into public. contained in the Irish Republic, as an get mutually, for a lengthy time period the church had a particular position, and became effectively unaccountable. this is the secure secular replace in society because the 70s that has presented about a lot extra expectation of responsibility, so the cover-up of abuse could not proceed. Too many human beings weren't prepared to seem any incorrect way, and particular courageous officials were in a position to pursue the accountable impeded. i do not doubt that similar adjustments befell in different international locations. even as the instant outcome of the revelations is not likely to interrupt down any church homes, this is genuinely now unlikely to opposite the fad of their decline. this is too early to say if this decline wil be sped up because of the revelations, and it shouldn't be forgotten that many church homes nevertheless have a semi-authentic carry on their parishioners, mutually with a large type of segregated faith faculties funded through taxpayers. this would play out through time, so do not assume any surprising adjustments.

The man who was killed was a menace in the neighborhood. OK? The police were called several times to his home. They are as much at fault for this killing as the guy who stabbed him.
The guy that stabbed him was a lawyer and probably extremely fed up with him
Sorry for the stabber
Not sorry for the stabbee

I think it's a sad case in it's entirety.
If the girl was molested, this is something that will effect her for the rest of her life, and she will grow up without a father.
P.S. Most people live by guilty until proven innocent. Hopefully the case of John Mark Karr will make people think differently.

Americans are innately evil and vindictive people. Quick to condemn and slow to honestly judge. Forgiveness is out of the question.
This fine Nation was founded on the misguided interpretations of the Bible by charlatans and con men.
Why would you think it strange that contributors to this forum would post statements outside my aforementioned American style.

We all get what we deserve... From the child to her father to the man...
On every level in every instance of life... everytime we as humans cry out "Ouch" for anything... that was us getting what we had coming to us. It's called Karma... and boy oh boy is it ever a bit*ch when it catches up to you...
Scary huh? yes it is... but unfortunately it defeats its own purpose in that in never does prevent us for doing wrong in this life or any other...

I think its a shame he acted so rashly. as a lawyer, you'd think he would be a little more level-headed. he just stabbed the man without any proof. he should have just called the police and had them investigate. the man didn't get what he deserved. no one knows if he deserved it or not.
