There're a couple of English ones that are very old indeed, but have never been revoked (or only revoked recently, like the punishment for beheading for treason on the high seas).

I'm pretty sure it's still illegal to eat mince pies at Christmas, this law was passed by Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War as Ollie had a thing against Christmas, and enjoying yourself at that time of year, as he was a strict Puritan...

And, just for interest, genuine Absinthe isn't illegal in the UK, because, although it's not supposed to be sold, they never actually got around to passing the law before the stuff was so outlawed everywhere else in Europe you couldn't get hold of it!

don't be fooled into thinking that it's just America that has some weird laws. In Italy, it's an offence to not have a smile on your face while in the city of Milan, unless you're visiting someone in hospital or attending a funeral!

In Bakersfield, California, anyone having intercourse with Satan
must use a condom. (An asbestos one we presume.)

In Minnesota, it is illegal for any man to have sexual intercourse
with a live fish. (Apparently it's OK for woman.)

Many more on the link below, but these are my favourites.

101 days for stealing a chicken right here in Tulsa Oklahoma. Does that mean if I drive off with a 12 piece from KFC its more like years? Also we can't cuss in front of a woman or child under 12 years. It actually was used at a concert!

In England it's illegal to have christmas pudding or mince pies on Christmas Day - it's a law that goes back to the time of Oliver Cromwell, but has never been repeelled - it's never inforced either!

The 30mph speed limit in towns - ever tried doing 30mph down for example a crowded market street? How many did you kill doing something that is perfectly legal.
