If you go into any department store like Macys- Chanel and Lancome have great foundations that look extremely natural.
The Lancome one is called Color ID they have over 32 shades so a 100% match is almost guaranteed! The beauty advisors there could apply it on you so you can see and get some great techniques.
Also you can always use a tinted moisturizer. I use that from Chanel when I'm go to class or something like that. Quick, easy and effective. Everything you need in the morning =)
I hope this helps you... Good Luck!

I really like the foundation by Shu Uemura, it's sheer, but provides great coverage and it's sweat and "water"-proof... I think if you dunked your head in water, some might come off. Also, Sue Devitt Studio foundation is great. It's 80% h2o and is made with sea weed... I know it sounds gross, but if you're prone to break-outs, it's the absolute best. You can find either of them at Sephora stores or online. Good luck!

I use L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable make-up. It is rather sheer but provides the coverage you need to hide any unwanted flaws. It is about $10 a bottle, and you can match it to whatever skintone you have, because they have a HUGE variety of tones and colors. It is inexpensive and does the job well.

Clinique has a variety of different coverage makeups. Light, matte, dewey, etc. Go for a free consultation. It is fun and you aren't obligated to buy if you don't want.

BARE MINERALS! You will have to order it online and if you have really oily skin it is not the best for you but otherwise it covers blemishes and you don't even look like you are wearing makeup. it is so translucent and healthy looking. and my acne has improved a little since using it.
