Most babies get their first teeth between 5-7 months, but some late bloomers sprout those first pearly whites after their first birthday. A baby can even get them as early as 3 months (rarely sooner) or as late as 18 months (if that is the case, your ped may refer you to a childrens dentist, there may be an underlying problem).
That was info from "What To Expect, The First Year"
My son is just turning 6 months old & his first tooth appeared not too long ago, but my friend's daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 11 months old. 7 months is still young, there's plenty of time for them to come in, I wouldn't worry about that, but be expecting them at any time :)
Teething patterns are hereditary, were you & the baby's father late to show your first tooth? If you were, then that may when your baby will show. It's supposedly a 85% chance that a babies first tooth will appear when his parents did (if you got yours at 7 months & he got his at 10 months, go to the middle somewhere & that's where it may hitcha). I wouldn't be in a hurry for it, many sleepless nights & the constant chewing & fussing is nothing iw ant to deal with again LOL But some babies go through it like real troopers, just waking up one morning & flashing that beautiful smile with a chicklet in the middle LOL Good luck :)

It all depends on the baby. Some (very rarely) are actually born with a tooth. My daughter got her two bottom teeth at 4 1/2 months, my mom got her's at 3 months and my sisters at about 11 months.

My son started at 5 months and now at 18 months has all but his 2 year molars. His little friend who is 3 weeks older than him didn't get her first tooth until 9 months. Don't worry all children teeth differently. You and your husband must have been late teethers.

Some babies are born with a few teeth already and some get them around 4 or 5 months but mostly kids get them around 7 or 8 months.

Every child is different....believe it or not some children are born with teeth! My son got his first tooth at four months...and at almost seven months he still only has two teeth. My doctor told me that some babies don't even start teething until they are a year. I wouldn't worry...they'll come in at their own time.
