850 kg/m3 or 0.85 kg/litre or 1.1765litre/kg
100,000 tonne is 100,000,000 kg
Hence 1.1765 * 10^8 litres
117650000

Wow, I thought that was the advantage of the metric system over the English weights and measures, the orders of 10. Now if you wanted to know how many pounds or gallons, that might take a few minutes to figure, but in metric?
The simetric page has diesel oil at somewhere between 820-950 kilograms per cubic meter.

100,000 metric tons of water is 100,000,000 litres if the S. G, of oil is say ,7 Then 10 divided by 7 is 1.666 say 1.7 therefore the answer would be 170,000,000 litres Best to find out the specific gravity of diesel oil INVERT the number and follow what I have done.

The specific gravity of deisel oil is about 0.85. Thus the Volume is 100,000 / 0.85 = 117,647 cubic meters ( about 117.65 million litres)
Cheers.

The density is 820 - 950Kg/cubic metre depending on the grade of diesel used and 1KG = 1 litre. You do the maths

What temperature? The volume will vary massively depending on the temp.
But around 120million litres..
