The factors that controls the magma viscosity are:
1) The temperaure of the magma.
2) The silica content, (the magma composition).
3) The gas content of the magma.
4) The degree of crystallization, (the proportion of crystals/liquid).

Three factors determine the viscosity of the magma...(1)Temperature, the high the temperature the less viscous the magma as it is more liquid.(2)Silica content, more silica means less viscous and visa versa.(3)Volatile content, the more vapour their is inside the magma the less viscous it becomes.
