I just wanted to see what you would do . Most of us have LOTTERY in our areas now. Have fun with it . DREAM a little !!!

I'd give at least 10% of it to my Church. I would pay off my family's mortage's car payments and credit card bills. I'd pay for all the kids college educations in my family.
If it were tremendously huge, I would buy a baseball franchise.

First thing to do is sign the back of the ticket (even before you win). Put the ticket in a safe/secure place (right after you win).
Secure a good/honest tax lawyer. Contact the Lottery Office and let them know you are the winner (they will verify that by asking for some numbers on the ticket). Tell them when you would like to collect your winnings. Fly/drive to the state lottery headquarters, get your picture taken with an oversize check.
Then enjoy life, but don't overdo it. A lot of lotto winners are broke within 5 years because they don't think ahead.

The first thing I'd do is try to calm myself down and just take a few minutes to let it sink in. The next thing I would do is type out a letter of resignation, go to work, pack my things and leave. (In case some of you think that's kind of cold-blooded - at my current employer, when employees have given two week notices, the company immediately fires them.)
I know you didn't ask for a third thing, but, after I got home from quitting my job and claiming my windfall through the lottery channels, I would contact a good financial advisor, because I wouldn't have a CLUE as to how to handle alot of money at the same time!
I don't buy lottery tickets often but, when I do, until the drawing it's kind of fun to think that you have some slim, ok very slim, chance of winning.

Does jumping up and down like a mad baboon count as the first thing? I would definitely have to do that! Goes without question that me and hub wouldn't be going into work that day, or much at all after that I would reckon!
Make sure we'd won for sure, then I would probably let me hub take the lead as he's really good at spending our money! He would sort us out with posh car and bike and holidays, I would make sure my sister's mortgage was paid and arrange a big holiday cruise for us all this Christmas, but in the meantime would do the sensible thing and get sound financial advice - oh, pay off my student loan finally, that would shock 'em at the student loans company wouldn't it?! Yeah, I would have a blast and it would be so amazing not to be worrying about money for a change, I would finally have savings!!! I would have to have a massive party tho, and I hope my mates wouldn't all turn on me and be evil to me, I would have to give everyone I knew a proportion so they wouldn't set my house on fire I guess!

I never do anything until I've had coffee and a shower! That takes care of the 1st two things! After that, I guess a lot of phone calls to the lottery and friends and family!

If I woke up this morning and found out I won the lottery I'd probably try to figure out when I bought a freakin' lottery ticket!!??!!

apck up the kids and the car
head to santamonica and start house shopping
then head
head to the mountains
to land my father in law owns there
and start making plans to build a dream house there
so i could sit and stare at the mountains and sand and sky for the rest of my life
no matter where i lived

I would hire the best hitman to kill this deranged female that will not, I mean will not leave me alone. She has been stalking me and accusing me of off the wall ****. Where is Gol Gol 13 when I need him? Oh yeah then after that me and Gol Gol would fly to Vegas and party like it's 1999.

First i would buy a new house. Then i would change my phone number so people cant call and ask for money. Then i would travel the world.
