Organized religion, whether Islam or Christian, or Jewish has used their power to continue tribal wars everywhere, in the name of their particular brand of God/Allah/Yaweh.
It is very sad. You would think that humans were beyond that by now, but apparently not.

I suppose that trying to help an oppressed nation rid itself of a murdering tyrant who rules by fear and intimidation could, in some off the wall way, be considered imperialism.
Don't you think that if the governments of the world answered to their people, instead of the other way around, the world would be a much better and safer place for everyone?
And speaking of "offense to peace," do you really think that, just because they might not be technically at war with anyone at the moment, that an oppressive government that controls the people's every move is "peace"??
As long as there are tyrants and military rule in any country, the people cannot be free and, hence, cannot be at peace.
It is easy for us to take our freedoms for granted - we have always had them and it's hard for us to imagine a true police state where your every action is monitored and speaking out against injustice will get you killed. A place where even your neighbors will turn you in for just your opposition to government edicts.
Would you feel at peace?

Too bad you just said warmongers...where are the Islamists???
I suspected this question to be a support for Islamic Fascists...
Oh yeah the Americans arent being imperialistic...because last I looked my country (the Philippines) still does things that are not in the USA's best interests (though those things are also rarely done for our nation's interests either). Maybe being corporationalistic...yes duh...just look at their corporate images and actions. But to accuse the American Nation of imperialism smacks of stupidity and Islamist propaganda.
And yeah...what is your alternative hmm???
Communism...nope not so long as people can become Stalins
Hippyism...never!!! those outfits are so lame.
Theocracy...never either!!!
Evil Islamic Empire (Islamist Fascist's wet dream) Never...I will destroy the world first before such an unholy empire exists.
Chinese domination...never either!!!
In that event all intolerant and stupid people need to be locked up (you and I included if necessary, where I can blow myself up and end all them intolerants)

American age of imperialism ended around of the turn of the century America will never live it down, I guess! Problem seems to be American arrogance; the belief that Americans have superpowers and are able to decide whats right, knows whats best for the world and of course the greatest war machine this world has ever known. The envasion of Iraq gave USA the opportunity to show off its "machine" I'm not convinced the Islamic people,or leaders, are politically driven, there top concern appear to be faith and family.

Islam has America out numbered 6 to 1. At it's current expansion rate Islam will have 1/2 the global population in another decade.
The only threat is to industry. You don't need oil if you are riding a camel.

Last I checked we had not expanded our nation since we added Hawaii and Alaska. I believe we purchased both of those areas. So this empire we are working on building must be an ultra secret.
Islam on the other hand is blatantly trying to take over the world by force and they aren't paying anyone for it. Anyone with open eyes can see it.

Imperialism-of, relating to, befitting, or suggestive of an empire or an emperor. Fascism-a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control. They both sound about the same to me, I'm not a fan of either.

I find it interesting in this day and age that so many people do not know what the term imperialist means, and definitely lack the knowledge to properly apply it. Want to call America warmongers fine, that's a valid opinion depending on your perspective, we are not imperialists though. We have no desire to plant our flag in every nation in the world. We also do not have any desire to occupy any country longer than what is required to foster a self sufficient democratic regime. I don't expect you to grasp the difference though, I have read enough of your posts to know you are completely lost in propaganda.
