or how can i watch TV with a computer monitor?

Actually, there is another way. If you have composite, component, or DVI inputs on your monitor, which some do come with, you can run video out from you DVD Player or Cable Box into the input on your LCD Monitor. This REQUIRES you to have separate inputs other than analog VGA on your monitor.
