In simplistic terms, the offended party must file a written pleading, essentially an "affidavit", with the Court which issued the order, alleging under oath or by affirmation the particulars of the alleged violation with regard to the order believed to have been violated, and requesting that the Court find the perceived offending party to be in "contempt of Court". Presuming the Court does its job, an order will issue to the perceived offender directing him or her to "answer" to the allegation, the complaint and to appear in court at a specified time and date to "show cause, if any he has, why he should not be attached [meaning effectively arrested] and punished for his contempt." The complaining party, the person believed to have been offended by the alleged violation of the order, will have to prove the violation in court. As punishment the Court can fine and jail the offender.

Depends on what the court order is, some are just hard to enforce in any legal way. If they claim to know the sheriff, you can always go to your local legal aid office and see if you can file an injunction to force them to stop doing what they are doing. Try a different police to let them know what is going on and put this sheriff on notice. This is bad advise but you should just have your brother's friends kick his *ss.

The Media is so picky about what they will report on ... If the court order is not being held take it back to court and have witnesses that can back up your claims non related witnesses make the best witnesses! .... if it's a restraining order take it back to court don't F%$#$ around get on the phone make call after call after call ... find someone or some office that will help you.

Go straight to the DA. If that doesn't work contact your Congressman, Senator, Mayor. That will definitely get the ball rolling. Don't take NO for an answer. He violated the law and should be reprehended. Good Luck.

If the sherrif is refusing to enforce the court order (as opposed to just being slow about it), then that is an issue for the court who issued the order.

Courts and judges do not look kindly on those who refuse to obey their orders. Have your attorney bring this to the judge's attention.

You need to bring it to the attention of the court which issued the order. Contact the clerk of the court. If that doesn't work then contact the district attorney or attorney general. Use your brain dude. Go burn the f/u/c/k/e/r/'s house down or something.

File a written complaint with the court that issued to order, and ask for a hearing.

If they are above the law - then there's nothing you can do about it. If the sherriff is on their side - no one is on yours.

File a motion for the judge to hold that person in contempt. The sheriff is a nobody. If told to put this person in jail he will.

Or he'll be history.
