is it possible to have a vovlvo 960 engine fitted to my old volvo 245GL. and would the 960 dash board fit?

or anybody know a place i could have my volvo redone

Those cars are totally different however I think the 960 V-6 might bolt to the 240 transmission the motor mounting will not be the same and the interior parts will not interchange. There are more interesting swaps how about a 5.0 L motor from a Mustang make that station wagon spin circles in the parking lot>

that question should be asked to a vovlo mechanic. try one of the older guys..
