I have been taking ortho tricyclin lo for 3 years now and it's great. 11 days ago i finished my period but yesterday and today i've been havig a lite period. This has never happened to me and im worried. Have any of you had this problem?

Its called break thru bleeding, it happens to me from time to time if I miss a pill. if it continues on regular basis then contact your dr.

I also take ortho tri cyclin but not the low hormone kind. I never experienced spotting for 2 1/2 years until a few months ago. I saw my physician and she said its completely normal to have spotting at any time, especially if you have gone off schedule with taking your pills. However if there is any reason you can think of... pregnancy, cysts ect. any history you have that could be the cause I would see you doctor

You may have missed a pill or two or not realized it, you should use a condom if you do have sex though for at least the next week just in case.

This happened to me when my body got used to the pill and it stopped working. My doc prescribed another pill for me and that fixed the problem. This is break thru bleading.
