no they look horrible together no offense. maybe brown shorts w/ green,tan top.

definitely matches.. i'm a fashion student at FIDM in LA, and i have an internship with elle magazine.. trust me.. that definitely matches.. try wearing some green beaded jewlery.. necklaces and bracelets.. dark green though... bright green will just look tacky.. then maybe some brown sandals or flats

Well I guess it depends on the color of green and brown. But it does sound fine. I would add a silver wrap or something so it didn't look so plain. And please make sure your bag, belt/wrap, and shoes are all the same color or at least match.
