I have been in long distance relationship for more than 2 years. It seemed ok in the beginning. But later on, we started having more and mroe problems. In fact, we, two, do not want to break our relationship easily. I make international call to her everyday to keep continuous contact. But my girl is sick on talking on phone. Finally she even stopped using cell phone. Now emailing is the only way we can contact now.
Is there any idea to make a long lasting relationship? What do you think of my current relationship?
Btw I apologize you in advance for my poor Eng. I am not native Eng speaker.

She still tries to contact me by emailing me everyday. As our plan, I am trying to go the place where she is. But I have visa problem. Its really a big constraint between us. We used to discuss alot to be together. She just wants me to come to her place but its very very very difficult for me, even i want to go there desperately. The bad thing is she wont come to my place if my plan to go there is failed. She wont come to my place no matter what.

some times with a long distance relationship you have to let it cool off for a while. Are there any immediate plans for you two to be together anytime soon? Or is it "I am here and you are there and we can't change that" kind of situation? It might be best to remain in contact and see other people while you are apart. If it was 6 months, I could see waiting, but 2+ years is alot of time to spend in limbo, waiting for life to move forward. When the time comes that you can be near each other again, see if the spark of the relationship is still burning.

If she has stopped contacting you by the phone it will be hard to keep the relationship going. Hearing her voice is quite different then reading an e-mail. Long distance relationships are hard because in a way they aren't relationships. If you never meet her in person then nothing will continue other than phone calls and emails. If you're fine with not having that part of a physical relationship then they're OK. But it seems your girl may be pulling away. if she refuses to actually talk to you then the relationship might be over. Good luck and best wishes!

well i think the best thing to do is have a plan. for example, i have a olng distance relationship with my boyfriend but we have future plans so i know that we are working towards something. we are eventually going to move in together by the end of the year and we consistently talk about how we will be together. it makes me feel comforted because i know there is an end in sight. i know that we will not be long distance forever. we used to live in the same state but then college ended and we both moved back home. now we are saving money to move out and be together.

maybe if you do this with your girlfriend, it will help. let her know that you want to make plans to end long distance and be closer. it might put things at ease.
