Yes, everyone in the U.S. is taller than they used to be.
Pick your own punchline:
- Except for Gary Coleman.
- As a fetus, I was not 6 feet tall.
- Cameras not only add 10 pounds but also 2 inches.

Yes! Nutrition and better health care are growing giants in the US vs 150 years ago. We have a civil war museum in town with authentic uniforms, womens dresses etc. on display -- they look look like a bunch of 14 year olds! The shoes, the coats, hats and gloves are all very small.
FYI - same thing is happening in Japan. Grandchildren in Japan tower over their grandparents due to improved nutrition -- all in the last 50 years.

With better diet and medical care, and less backbreaking work, each generation is taller than the previous one. The question is, where will it end?

Yes, I believe it's true, look how much nutrition and health has advanced. The same holds true in S. Korea, they have better food now and the people are much bigger! Better diets = bigger, stronger people!

Adult immigrants are short by dint of not getting enough protein in their diets when they were kids. Kids who get plenty of protein grow up to be taller.
