I've used it before and I love it! I was scared to do the shot because I was told it can make you gain weight! I'm trying to lose not gain. LOL. My skin was never irritated nor did I ever get a rash!
Certain places are better to stick it than others. My favorite spots where on my arms...like a smokers patch and then my lower lower back above my butt! Good luck!!!

I used it and it was very effective.. but it was a pain in the butt! It always started to peel off a day after I put it on even thought I cleaned my skin really well before putting it on. I was always paranoid that it wasn't gonna work, and I had to be careful what I did and what I wore so I didn't peel it off. Plus it gave me a rash where ever I put it. When they say, "On your body, off you mind."- it's not true. When it's in your body you know for sure, and it's off your mind.
Also, Ortho Evera also has the highest dose of hormones of all birth control pills/patches. You really only need to use the lowest dose that reacts best with your body. I'm on a much lower dose pill now and it's great.

I think it works for some people, but not for everyone. The important thing is to clean the area with soap and water, and then wipe with alcohol so that the adhesive will stick. So far, studies have shown that it works as well as the pill. I think that the fact that it's a patch is good, because your body gets a constant amount of medicine so it stays at a steady state. Also, you don't have to remember to take a pill daily.

I've never used it, but my friend complained about it, because it caused rashes on her skin wherever she put it on.
