I think the coolest city I've ever been to is Hong Kong. It was very organized, very, very clean, well dressed polite and helpful people. It's easy to navigate around. City planning has preserved a lot of nature around the city. Getting into and out of town is easy. There is a pedestrian island just a 45 min ferry ride out of centeral HK. The tourist office offers free classes on just about everything from tea to chinese opera to Tai Chi lessons overlooking the harbour in the mornings 3-4x/week. The shops are cool, there are a lot of interesting international people. The food is amazing. I'm vegan and the buddhist restaurants are just to die for. I could just go on and on. I loved the city and would go back in a heartbeat.

San Francisco - city by the bay. Great restaurants - great people. I have been to 100 cities around the world and still like coming home to the city by the bay - the city of lights - the city of donut cops.
