I work in a pharmacy and this question came up rather bluntly by a customer. We all asked our respective significant others whether or not they would(or had ever) use(d) sunscreen on their genitals to avoid a sunburn, and my wonderful fiancee mentioned that he'd heard that that skin does not get sunburned. We're all curious as to the truth behind this. I've been researching for a few days and I haven't come across any helpful information. If someone can help us out, it would be great!

Why the hell would the skin there not get sunburned?
ALL parts of your skin can get sunburned. Plus, the skin there is sensitive so why would it NOT get sunburned? It would probably burn more easily.

Sunburned Penis

Of course the penis can get sunburned. Really bad actually because the skin is so sensitive. It happened to me not too long ago and it was a nightmare. Pain followed by peeling. The only thing that helped the recovery process was a penis health creme. The creme I used had Vitamin E and shea butter, which helped tremendously. I was back to normal in a few days. But I won't be doing that again.

K, "a friend of mine" once burned his c*ck in a sunbed. However, he had an erection at the time and it was touching the glass above! I'm not sure if this is sunburn or just a burn. Either way "my friend" was very embaressed and hasn't told anybody about it. Except me, of course.

Just like sausage in a frying pan. If it's got skin, it's going to burn so take care of the little guy and his two friends unless you like severe pain.

It does and since it is an area that is not used to much sunlight, it can burn quickly and severely. Be very careful when letting "bob" see the light of day.

yes it does. im a nudist and fortunately dark-skinned so i dont burn easily. however, i did burn once and its obviously painful. gotta use a non-alcholic aloe on it. too much ice and it'll shrink away, so stick with the aloe.

kinda hard (no pun intended) to put sunblock on it.
