Not sure if you want to just reinstall SP2 or Windows XP also.
Since everyone has given the SP2 only instructions, here's the XP and SP2 instructions
Put the Windows XP CD into your CD drive
Boot the PC and the Windows setup will begin automatically
Follow the prompts
After you do the F8 to agree, you will be prompted about formatting the hard drive
If you want to clear off the drive and do a fresh install, select format with NTFS (formatting will wipe all the music, pictures, videos, etc off your PC)
If you want to reinstall without erasing everything, select the "Leave the hard drive the way it is" option (50/50 whether this will fix your problem, but worth a try)
Let the setup continue from there
If you format the drive, you will have to reinstall any other programs you want your PC also
Once the XP is reinstalled, go to microsoft.com to install SP2.

Take The Service Pack two cd And Insert It Into Your Cd Drive.
Close Down All Other Programs
If the setup window does not come on automatically, Then Go To The START Tab (Bottom Left) then coose the "Run" option and in the box that apperars type: D:\setup .exe ("D:" Is The Name Of Your Cd Drive Unless It's E: Or F: On Your "My Computer" Window.
Follow On From There And It Should Install Over The Top Of The Last Instance Of The Program. Deleting And Adjusting Whatever it has to. OR, It Will Ask You If You Want To Erase SP2 Before Continuing and Then you click OK.

u can repair it by ur xp cd. Put ur CD in CD-Drive then click on repair icon .
if after repairing also it shows problem then u have to reinstall the new copy and before reinstalling it is better to format ur previous one .
U can format ur drive using command format/q [DRIVE:] (/q for quick formatting) on command prompt.
This command prompt should be opened by pressing F8 button during starting of computer, not fully started
