Rent Band of Brothers. It's an HBO miniseries, not a regular film. 12 episodes. Produced by Tom Hanks and Spielberg. Freaking fantastic!

Why don't you try some of the older ones that were made just after the war...those people had a much better insight into what had happened. From Here to Eternity, Midway, etc.
