Nah .... He's Just Talkin' Junk......
(He's DRUNK)

2006-09-01 06:36:38 · answer #1 · answered by DR. HARPOâ„¢ 5 · 1 0

I think it depends on what they say. Some people are real truth tellers when they are drunk. Other people just talk crap. I think the people are often more intense when they're drunk. If you are a chatty person, for example, when you are drunk you'll be super chatty. If you are argumentative, when you are drunk you'll be down right belligerant. I never trust mean drunks because that means that they are normally mean, they just hide it when they are sober.

I believe when a person is drunk they lose their inhibitions, so they would obviously be spilling their guts, but, i personally have a lot of truth but some of it needs to stay unsaid. When your drunk i dont think you can really decipher what you should or should not say, i think it's a bit of a catch 22

When a person (he or she) is drunk they often say the things that they have been thinking about when sober but would never dare say to your face. They are less inhibited when drunk and often can't think about the consequences of what they say. They are more likely to tell you how they feel and you should take stock of what they are saying. It's usually something hurtful or a secret that may hurt/offend/upset others. You have to also think about the fact that what they say is often impossible for them to say when they are sober so it must be really getting to them or affecting them in some way even when they are sober. I hope someone you care about has not said something to upset you, if they have please try to talk about it with them when they are sober and get them to tell you exactly what it is that is upsetting them and why they have to be drunk before they will discuss whatever it is. I hope this helps :-)

i can only attest to when i have been drunk but yes there is. when i get drunk from SKY, yes just SKY, my boyfriend says i'm a mean drunk. because when i'm drinking SKY i don't know what it is but my boyfriend and i get into an argument about our relationship (not all the time i get drunk off SKY just 50% of the time). and what i'm saying has very valid points. i hold a lot of things inside and SKY is like a release. it just hits the right buttons to make me open the hell up.

There is definitely some truth to this. People do not have that side of them telling them to think before speaking, and therefore the truth comes out. You just have to hope that what you are thinking doesn't come back and bite you in the a s s.

Good question, rum shots to you! we will do them responsibly so the truth does not come out.

hmm... i think there is something to that whole 'truth serum' argument about booze, but i think you have to be careful... i have seen alcohol bring out the real person behind the mask and i have also seen it allow that hidden part of a person's personality to come exploding out... so although there might be some truth to what a person says it could be colored by thier emotions

I think its good practice to be able to speak one's mind when one is drunk, the idea is to be able to do the same while sober. So one needs to drink more to be a better person when sober.
