MS-word: how can I change the default setting of a new document?

when i click new document, the default document page has an irregular setting, how can I change the default so that it will open in regular letter size page.

I think you need to modify the blank document template (.dot) file.

in the initiating, look on your ribbon, lower than the domicile tab, in the decrease excellent hand nook of the font container you'll see a small "arrow", click that. in the container that opens up, replace the font, the font type, and the font length to inspite of you want, then click the DEFAULT button. From that aspect on, each new rfile you create will immediately be in that font.

Open a new document
Make the changes you want to the margins, font, page size, etc.
Do a "Save as" and change the file type to Template (.dot)
Save it as "normal.dot" and it will overwrite the default template
