some email attachments i cannot down load, my pc is fairly new and why cannot i down load some of my emails as it is so annoying as my friends can? help. do i need to add something extra to my pc or what?

Ifits Microsoft Outlook express you are using as your email client...
Go to tools, optons. Then click on the security tab and uncheck the box which says Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a a virus.
But make sure you use your virus scanner on the file before you open it.

Most likely your antivirus/firewall prog is configured to delete/block attachments
Do as Durden says at your own risk...All I will say is that I have that checked but can STILL download attachments :)

Maybe it's your firewall or Norton blocking them, usually meaning that its a virus or spyware.

close your firewall and download from another exporer may be firefox. it should be working there is no need for extra setting
