Is plucking a few notes with a pick and screaming in the mic called metal rock?

I am totally with you on that point, but i dont really know how to explain it to the people who dont get it either. It´s just somethin you have to understand for yourself. If the music does somethin for you, then you dont need to explain it to anyone else...they would get it automatically you know, cuz the music does the same thing for them. But if they do not hear anythin past the loud music and the guy screamin into a mic...then it just means its not their kind of music. And yeah i know how you feel, cuz i really dont like it when people just criticise the things they dont even really know anything about but....hey what can you do, right? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Good luck though! :)

I personally like many different kinds of music, but the music you're describing doesn't sound very appealing. I enjoy listening to bands like Linkin Park, but I also like the style of more classic bands like Metallica. There's a new kind of metal that seems to be just random guitar strumming and constant screaming that sounds like someone is about to throw up. That's the kind of metal that I just can't get into at all.

I think that would be noise. You know i dun get ppl, why is Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park metal? And what's this nu metal thing anyway. Is it some kind of genre ppl create cos they know they will never be good enough to fall into the heavy metal genre?
