I think this person is my soul mate and I 'm sure that he feels the same way as me. The problem is that he has a long term girlfriend.

If you are sure of your feelings, you could certainly tell them. It will only make them feel better about themself, and make them very happy.

Not okay cause if he was your soul mate you would be the long term girlfriend he's with right now instead of the one wanting to be with him now.

If he had those feelings for you, he would split with his girlfriend. So back off and leave the guy alone, ok? He has enough to deal with one woman in his life. You love him so much? of course it's not ok cause ur now burdening w/ur feelings about them when they r with someone else.. plus if u do tell them u have to think of the consequences if the person that they r with find out cause now it's like ur interfering in their relationship..
but if u tell them just be prepared for that and be prepared if that person doesn't feel the same way about u....
