Gotta go with the skinny jeans and a tunic top. Try Old Navy. Or sometimes even Target. Both those places are inexpensive, yet really cute. And you won't make your mom or dad worry about your clothes if you get them at Old Navy.
My personal opinion is that just a tank top is all about skin, even if it's cute. Layers, a sweater, a cute jacket are all options to make it an outfit. Not just a top.

Reading glasses, backpack, long but loose jeans and a button up shirt from Ragstock. You're there to learn, do that first and fashion after school.

1 tip: dont try to hard bc ppl notice that. for the first day try to look classy however that maybe. maybe like jeans a really nice shirt and heels. dont forget jewelry.

Short skirt and halter top with some heels.....this is the only day(1st day)that you can get away with bending the dress code....have fun!!!
