1. the weapon carried by Delta Sgt Norm Hoot in the movie Black Hawk down (CAR-15 or M-4),I know that the M-4 is not in the service before 1994 but the weapon carried by Hoot is very similar to it and in someway differ from the CAR-15 carried by the other delta operators
2. Is the weapon carried by Ranger soldier Twombley was M249 ?

If I remember in the the book Bowden says his weapon a customized CAR-15, and he was shooting the Army’s new 5.56mm green tip round.

I will have to watch the movie again not sure about the Ranger's rifle.
