No, I thought it was me for a while too. But I hear that alot from other family members who are women who work with women too. It is an ugly truth that we often compare and judge ourselves against our female co-workers and friends. I think a man started it at some point, but we have been unsuccessful to make it stop and love eachother's strengths and be self-confident enough to not have to tear down other girls to make ourselves feel or look superior. But, that's the problem basically. We all want to be seen as successful and in control of our lives. So, some women who are insecure about some part of their lives decide to make themselves seem better if they hurt someone else and expose their imperfections as much as possible. I hate people like that, but meet them in almost every job I've ever had.

Thats not always true. I used to work in an all female place and after that I worked in a company that had both genders. To be honest, I prefered the environment of all females. It was a lot more fun and everyone wasn't so serious. I liked my female boss 100 times more than I liked my male boss.

But, the reason I believe there is some tension between females is because sometimes other women tend to come off as... unfriendly, unless you actually know them. But, men always seem more friendly to women than other women do. Men seem to smile a lot more at a woman than a female co worker would.

When I first started working at my old job with all females, there was one girl who I did not like (not because I was jealous..... trust me...). I didn't like her at first because she seemed to always be giving me dirty looks (you know, the slanted eyes and the serious face). After I worked there a while and talked to her, I realized that was just the way she looked at people. She actually turned out to be a nice person.

It is so much harder. I am with you on this. I pride myself on being able to work with all people: white, black, male , female, but I had women accuse me of things at my old job and I wasn't going to stand for it. They didn't get along with each other either. The energy surrounding us women is hard to deal with. I for one, think that women are very competitive when it comes to everything-including work. If a woman goes to work for the wrong reason(to check out other people's wardwrobe, meet a guy, or show off, she invites a negative energy to the job. I hate working with those type of women. I start a new job this coming tuesday working with women and I will let them know first thing; I am not for the sh**, I am here to work.

You are not alone. I work with female co-workers & talk about some catty s**t. And it is so sad. We should be sticking together. But some women are just b**ches. I'm glad my boss isn't a woman.

competition...as are men among men. There's a need to establish who the alpha-female (alpha-male) is in any group. Not all though...some are content with just being a wallflower.

because they see themselves in each other, they know the trade secrets of being a woman. So they are afraid what step the other would take, its like a race to the finish line, COMPETITION!

Women get very jealous of one another and they tend to stap each other in the back to get ahead.
