We were in Cuba in April this year and we bought tons of stuff, leather handbags, purses, wallets, jewellery, wooden boxes, wooden 50's cars, art work, t'shirts, they have all sorts of stuff to buy, it may be a poor country but they do have lots of souvenirs for you to buy, buy off the guys in the markets and not at the gift shops in your hotel, they are expensive, if your British take sterling with you as you can exchange it in either the airport when you get there or in your hotel and you get a good rate, no rip offs rate wise, take mossie spray for your legs at night as the sand flies have a field day otherwise, don't forget antihistamines either, Cuba is a beautiful place and the people are just amazing and will do anything for you, they love kids, take a few bits like cheap exercise books, pens, paracetamol, Tampax and a cheap brolly as a lot of the staff have to stand for hours in the heat waiting for a bus and it helps them stay cool, have a fantastic time and just chill out, its fabulous.

Not much really, just some hand-made bracelets and other jewellery with "Cuba" written on them somewhere.
They sometimes have trips to these shack-type places.
Most of your money will probably go on tips.

I agree, not much. Howver, if you go to Havana, I suggest you visit the cigar factory!!! It is great to see how they are made and you appreciate the cigar much more after that!!!
