Why are women so CHEAP acting these days?

Women in this day and age, most of them at least, behave like sleazy cheap w h o r e s. It is sickening to listen to them discuss how many times they've sucked and screwed different men. Don't they realize that it makes them cheap, disgusting and quite honestly, worthless to any man who would value their integrity.

Actually, NO, I do not watch TV. It makes me sick and I don't feel like being brainwashed.

SOME but not all of the reason is society today. Sex sells. So many young women think well that's all I gotta do to be liked. It's a sad but true fact of life. It's how women are viewed by many, many men in this day and age. The easier, the better...for the moment. Then they toss em out. Men act the same way, but no one ever says anything about them. A girl can sleep around and get called every name in the book...but a guy goes out and does the same thing and he's a stud.....doesn't make sense to me. I feel sorry for women who act like this...I just wanna grab them and shake them till they understand that were NOT put on this earth to please men, but rather to be respected and treated with dignity. There is so much pressure for sex in todays world.....

I think seriously, large numbers of females have gotten over the whole liberation feminism thing to a certain extent. They have discovered that having a career and balancing their desires for family life etc just don't gel the way it was promised by 60's power feminists. In reality, a lot of career women are very successful, make a name in their profession for themselves, and make a good career - but still feel their is something lacking, and in my opinion anyway, I think it is because some gender roles ARE genetic. It is not just a matter of lifestyle choice. At the end of the day, I think a lot of young women are now almost backlashing against the idea that they have to go out and become a career women. Some do want a more traditional home-maker role. And, dare I say it, I think some have taken it to the extreme, and are almost deliberately selling themselves as sex objects. This is certainly something which is pushed by magazines, particularly "lads mags" as being okay - it pays very well, better than most careers, and involves very little training or skills.
I also think it seems like more and more women these days are pinning their hopes on marrying a wealthy man to take care of them. It certainly seems the media thinks so anyway....

First you should realize that men can act and say the same things amongst the company of woman and they do not feel as though they are cheap and yet you feel that woman who own their exploits and do not feel ashamed about their private life should be ashamed and discreet. Have you ever thought that an honest woman has more integrity and grace but you do not take the time to find that out you get turned off by women being honest about their experiences. This is not a problem with women but a a separate issue with you. You are not living in the 1950's where everything must be kept a secret sexual liberation and women's rights have evolved over time and if you feel that the diplomacy of women is such a strain on you then I would suggest that you think twice before you enter the dating arena. Side note: You should try to hear what the underlying meaning of the conversation was--is she saying that is an exhibitionist or is she saying this to entice your libido to pay further attention and possibly hook up...many underlying nuances of the female mind and you should try to step out of your comfort level once in in while and experience something new and exciting safely of course.

You are correct my friend and I agree that it is sleazy. But, let me ask you this. Do you feel the same way about men when they talk about how many times they've screwed different women? Just making sure there isn't a double standard here.

I don't know. It shows a lot of self loathing. It is true that, though men will sleep with these women, no self respecting man wants to keep one for too long. It also answers the question "Why don't men want to commit?"

All I ever found was men desperate to commit. They just can't find anyone worthy of committing to. I can't tell you how many marriage proposals I received while single! Is it because I am soooo great? NO! It is simply because I am, and behave like a lady that has values.

I am no prude. I simply respect myself.

I wish more women would respect themselves and realize how wonderful and amazing they are. Then they wouldn't feel the need to behave so coarsely.

I agree,i am a woman but i ask the same question.The answer that i get is, well you must be fat or ugly or jealous of these women that dress and act like skanks.Actually I'm fine.What it is though is that i realize that there are so many skanks out there that i prefer not to be one.A man knows when hes looking at a decent woman and when hes looking at one that's pretty much slutty because that's about all they have to offer anyone.I got a great husband not looking like a skank and he told me that if he had wanted a loose women that there were plenty out there that he could have but he didn't want that.and after all what happens behind closed doors is a whole different issue.I can be what ever he wants then.

I think that 1. women know they don't HAVE to get married anymore as they did even 35 years ago, and

2. the media has had an influence on what we consider normal.

It might be within the 'norms' for young women to act like this but it is certainly not healthy behavior.

3. It is possible they are just acting out and saying the things we never dreamed to say or do because of social constraints-albeit more brashly.

Unfortunately, I would have to agree with you, but I
am almost 60yrs.old and came from another era. But,
I think a lot of it has to do with the influence of tv,videos,
and of course these crazy,violent movies that are pushed
in our faces, the satanic lyrics of the heavy metal bands,
and the "cheapening" of women in general by Hollywood.
If I have seen one video making women look cheap
you have seen them all. And lets's not forget advertisers,
who can't seem to sell anything from toothpaste to tires,
without SEX, it really is a sad state of affairs.

All of this anger and animosity- for what? Why are you directing this toward all women? Guess what? Not all women conduct themselves in the way that you have described in your question. If you disapprove of such discussion, you should probably find a new group to hang out with or stop eavesdropping on other conversations.

And with all of the bitterness that you harbor, it is likely that you are lashing out because of something that happened to you personally. It is unfortunate that you would allow such an incident to collectlvely group women into such a derogatory category.

What I have realized about you in your post: you need serious professional help for all of the latent anger that you have toward women.

I'm really not sure if there is a complete & direct answer to your question. One could say it's because of... TV, music, computers, lack of parental guidance, President Bush... blah, blah, blah...
That comes down to ones own personal opinion & morals.

I guess that in turn I would like to throw the ball back to you & ask...
Why do guys not act like gentlemen anymore?
Instead they act like perverted jurks. It is sickening that I can't go any place with out pig stares, stupid come-ons, or gross gestures. I floors me the way men can bring a chat room to a new sexual low! Don't they realize that it makes their IQ look around 60?

I guess the moral of this story is:
