There are no real "free" credit reports online.
freecreditreport.com requires that you sign up for a credit monitoring service that costs $69.00 per year, then you can view your credit report, which is considered free.
Since you have 30 days before they charge you for the service, you can cancel your subscription to the service by calling their toll free number. Once you do that, you can consider that the credit report you received was "free".
You are entitled to a free credit report if you have been denied credit (applying for a new credit card, charge account, etc.) in the past 30 days. If this has happened to you, the top three credit reporting agencies are: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. If you have been denied credit, you may contact any of these reporting agencies for a free credit report, to find out why you were denied credit.

you can go to any of the three major credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian and Trans Union) and obtain 1 credit report per year. You have this right because it is federal law. The Annual Credit Report website should get you started, as it is a government controlled website.
https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
Here are the links to the Credit Reporting Agencies:
http://www.equifax.com
http://www.experian.com
http://www.tuc.com
Check with your local state laws, because some states don't allow you to obtain one online (I know Maryland is one of them). Instead you must call 1-877-322-8228 for your request.

you could honestly get a loose credit checklist from a million of the three credit Bureau's, Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. only call. each and each provide you with a loose credit checklist a twelve months, so which you will get one three times a twelve months. the only issues is they gained't supply you the credit with out paying a small fee.

http://www.annualcreditreport.com is the only no strings website that will allow you to obtain your once a year freebie from ALL three of the major bureaus. This makes it a lot easier. IF you want your FICO score, that costs money. No one gives that one for free.

www.annualcreditreport.com.
I tried www.freecreditreport.com but it wasn't free you had to put in your credit card number for a trial period. However, I have gotten my report for free, no strings attached, no credit card necessary from annualcreditreport.com.
