The USA is not a Christian Society, it's a Society based upon Religeous Freedom, you can worship any god you choose to or none at all.

Used to live in the USA (near Milwaukee). They were appalled when they found out I didn't go to church. EVERYONE there went to church. They were also staunch supporters of the death penalty, keeping down homosexuals and god help you if you were black! Hmmmm.... a very Christian community. And they wondered why I never did start attending their churches.....

because the word god is not a name,it is a title.and really if you think about it even if it were you would have to say damngod for it really to be a curse.all they really are saying is i hope god damns this or that.
