I haven't really given a speech but I have written persausive essays.
Think of about 4 points you want to emphize , then state your opinion in a few sentances but the key to a good and strong speech is ; You must back up your opinion with why this is your opinion . Also you should try to back it up with the facts on the subject .
Here's a quick example ;
Say the board of education says that they want kids going to public school to wear uniforms . Well , Do you agree or disagree?
I'll say I agree , so here's how you could could express it ;
I agree that students in the public school system should wear uniforms because there are statics saying that students learn better when they don't have to be concerned about they are wearing. Also , It is very distracting nowadays with young ladies
wearing low cut shirts and showing cleavage . Other things to remember is , use proper grammer and wording . You'll convince your audience that you are serious about this project and getting your opinion heard and concidered.

Tell them what you are going to tell them
Then tell them
Then tell them what you told them.
Make sure it is about your favorite thing in the world.
So you really care and are enthusiastic.
Make it about something you really wish everyone else knew
as well as you know it (maybe your favorite musical group or your pet).
Make an outline of what you will say and make it organized.
Like if your speech is about your favorite musical group you would tell about their songs in one part and the members of the group in another part. Not just a string of information, but group the information so things that are alike are together.
