yea right, jokes to make them feel welcome, who are you kidding?? you can either pull a joke on someone ,, OR make them feel welcome by not pulling a joke on them.. you chose,, and here is the thing, me, litespeed, mat and suga pop are gonna be at your BBQ, IF you make any one of us, ANY ONE,, feel unwelcomed,, then yuo have no one but yourself to blame, cause we're all leaving,,, you choose

Call him Joey for a whole hour. And ask him if he Knows Jennifer Aniston before you let him in on it.
Unscrew the door handles so he thinks he's breaking them all.
Get the dog to run in wearing underwear . Or with yours in his mouth.
Bow as he walks in. And have a fanfare playing in the background.
Say "Do they call you Mat because of that rug you wear?".
Say "Man! Did you see her ex on the way out? He just gave me the keys to that porche". Here, you can borrow his chair".

put some petrol in a beer can and tell mat while he busym with the bbq to spray soe beer on the steak te make it more tender ha ha ha,
if the joke is on prices, hire a sexy/ sluty girl to come to the bbq and let her pretend its her ex/side girlfriend who justs wants crazy wild sex.
