changing comcast same place different name.Do I have to get new internet modem if I want to keep it in my name

We had comcast hi speed internet and basic cable. The location is the same. Can I keep the 2 modems and just get it in my name? Or, does my girlfriend whose name it was (even though I was paying the bill all along) in have to return the comcast cable and internet modems? I want to keep the internet. Is there a new installation fee to switch persons name on the bill?

You should be fine, they might have an updated modem maybe. You should be able to use the same hardware you already have. Call them to make sure.
