Sorry about the catagory, I didint know which one to pick.
Heres there situation:
In May I moved in a basement apt, the the girl upstairs was sooo loud and kepts us up 5 nights out of a week. On top of late night parties, she has a million kids up there and they are LOUD!
I just moved to the apt on top of her because i couldnt handle it anymore. Do you think I should feel guilty for being loud or listening to loud music? She didint care. I even complained to the landlord and he gave her 2 warnings. Now I am on top... what would you do?

I am living my life as normal and its not so bad to be on top of her. I still hear the kids but thats when i turn on my music and turn up the base. I usually go to bed at 10 anyways.

baby girl, you have the right to complain and get mad. you pay your rent and you deserve the right for a peace of mind. by moving to the top apt, does that solve the problem? if it does, that's great. don't worry, karma has a funny way of paying back bad deeds. she'll get hers.

i know you feel revenge is in order here but playing her at her own game just aint gonna work remember this girl loves loud music you playing it wont bother her in the slightest
Just move on and let things be if her music contiunes keep telling the landlord and hopefully he will do something also best to keep a diary of any problems you have with her then you can show the landlord exactly whats been going on

I would act like I would normally. Don't give her any a dose of her own so she can go to the landlord. Why do you want to look like an idiot like she obviously is. I still think her music could be heard if she plays it loudly but thank god you won't have to hear all her little brats running around on your head. She doens't have respect for anyone be the better person.

Why in heavens name did you not move AWAY from this person?? You KNEW how loud/rude they were before moving to the upper apt?
Ask the landlord if there's another apt. far away from this person, if you can't get out of the lease!

I wouldnt do anything . Just do what you normally do. If you listen to music so be it. Its obvious you arent going to wake her kids up if they are up all night listening to her to begin with. So whats it matter. If you feel the urge to vaccum at 11 pm go for it. I wouldnt go out of you way to be ruse or noisey . Just do whatever you do.
Good Luck.

Do what you would normally do. No point getting revenge. it will only come back to haunt you. If you have a party on the other hand give her the same consideration she gave you :)

I would be the better person anyway, what's the use of wasting your energy on revenge. She can probably hear everything you do anyway so don't even worry about it. Live normally and that's it, don't let it bother you since it's not bothering her.

Make as much noise as I possibly could. Show her how it feels. When you start getting warnings, you may want to back off, but for now, stomp, party, run, jump, scream, and etc... Have fun girl!

Live normally. I'm sure that the floors are like paper and she is hearing you all the time. It's probably driving her crazy, but that's what she gets!

Don't go out of your way to be too noisy, but carry on as you would normally. If occasionally you have a party or whatever, don't worry about it.
