giriraj i agree with you but i do not understand one thing that both of them are investing whats other difference in them than their full form?

FDI - Foreign Direct Investment. Investment by foreign individuals or companies, directly. FII - Foreign Institutional Investments. Investment, through Foreign Institutions, like Banks, etc.

The differance is, Investment by of Foreign Individuals and Investments made by the foreign Institutes. Individual & Institution is the differance. There are diffrent rules set for each of them.

fdi means foriegn direct investment by investor and fii means foriegn instution investor by company
