I couldn't find if so by 'search'ing. I just thought that would be interesting to see. I liked the movie with Robbie Benson about "Ode To Billie Joe" many years ago, and started to wonder about this song - it seems perfect for a movie, too.

Yes, it seems there was an obscure movie produced in '73 by John Carpenter called Road Rage, starring Stacy Keach as the trucker, and Jamie Lee Curtis and Robbie Benson as "me & Bobbie McGee." What started as a fun lark with some harp playing and windshield wipers slapping to the time of the music quickly turns ugly when a Peter-Built hauling steel tries to run the hardened trucker and his passengers off the road on a tight turn.

By the end of the movie, there are dead people everywhere, with the exception of Jamie Lee Curtis (no surprise) and a number of smoldering ruins of 18-wheelers up and down the highway. This movie is available at Wal-Mart for $1.99 and typically receives a 1-star rating.

(not really)
