When I first heard this I was thinking it was a bad idea. But after reading other people's answers and why the show is doing it, I think it's fine. They are really only separated for a few weeks sometimes and then they may change the groups up again. It will show diversity, but just because a certain race may win, doesn't mean they are the more dominant race overall...it's just a show and sometimes luck whether or not a group wins a challenge.

According to Jeff Probst, yes, the new Survivor is going to be separated by race. People have complained a lack of diversity on the show, therefore, the ultimate conclusion for Probst is separating the races.
I for one never watch Survivor anyways. Hm... wait, I'm a minority, but I don't think I'll act any differently about this one.

I just read it on Entertainment Weekly, the races are Hispanic, Black, White and Asian, CBS was hesitant but after much talks they decided it was the best thing to do. They said that people complained of not enough blacks, hispanics or asians on the cast so they decided to go out and look for this people.

Yea that is true they are going to be divided into African-American Asian-American Hispanic and Caucasian. I think it is a twist and survivor needed one I don't have a problem with it, its a good idea.

Oh wow I didnt hear that but of all the things TV could do, I think this would be A VERY BAD IDEA... i mean men-vs- women is one thing but really 'race'... thats something that we still hear too much bitching about in society, why add more gas to the fire...

Yes the guy from that show was on Regis and Kelly the other morning talking about it. He thinks it's a great idea. I think it's terrible.
