I believe you mean the Taj Mahal. Yes, it is facing threats from polution and too much of human touch.

dear friend,
taj mahal is facing trouble due to the following problems:-
1) air pollution:- the corroding gases like carbon monoxide, sulphur and nitrogen oxide coming from the nearby factories like meerut factories and other leather factories cause a major threat to the precious old marble lustre.
2) acid rain:- as the gases mention above mixes with air especially sulphur. it becomes acidic and corrodes the marble 5 times than the former. this can destroy the beauty and the lustre completely.
3) Agra is coming under Earthquake prone zones list. as taj mahal is in agra. there are chance for it to hit taj mahal. if that happens. taj mahal will be totally detroyed as it is not a cemented structure. only the heavy stone have been placed one above the other. scientist assume that there is a major earthquake to hit agra within 50-500 years.
taj mahal is the great symbol of love. i just pray that god save it from all dangers.
