I believe Owens prefers Tuh-rell, while I saw Terrell Davis in a commercial making a big deal about pronouncing his own name "Ter-ull". So, I guess it depends on who you are. My name for example can be pronounced more than one way, and I HATE when people get it wrong after I've said it for them. (Care-ee vs. Cah-ree vs. Keh-ree--I am the first one).

It's Teh-rell, with the accented syllable being the first.
I think it means "huge jerk" in some dead language or other.
