On the UT Chattanooga football team we called him Tuh-rell, but some called him tair-ell that didn't really know him.

I believe Owens prefers Tuh-rell, while I saw Terrell Davis in a commercial making a big deal about pronouncing his own name "Ter-ull". So, I guess it depends on who you are. My name for example can be pronounced more than one way, and I HATE when people get it wrong after I've said it for them. (Care-ee vs. Cah-ree vs. Keh-ree--I am the first one).

I have heard him on sportscenter pronounce his own name in a third person kind of way as Tair-ul. Who gives a rats *** though???

It's Teh-rell, with the accented syllable being the first.

I think it means "huge jerk" in some dead language or other.
