Yup. Pretty much so...although people are growing to be more educated in the cultures of other countries and learning their languages, English is slowly becoming the dominant language. I think that it's a good thing; that way, people can talk in one universal language.

French is the language of diplomacy but English is the language of business. All international and large business groups of China teach English or have translators on their staff. I've lived/ worked pretty much everywhere, large, and have never been anywhere there wasn't English speaking business people.

English is the easiest language to learn. Americans think it's better for others to learn their language but it's not...they should learn an extra one so they don't look so retarded to the rest of the world
