Yes, but I guess its just coincidence, possibly. 9 days is a long time for something to happen though.

By the way I hope I never win the lottery, god that would be just awful.

I swear I did the same but I broke my leg! Did i tempt fate? I m sceptic about fortune tellers but once I visited one and she said i would go to sea twice and then meet my wife and have two kids oh and move to Scotland, I was in England at the time. I thought whatever, but since Ive joined the navy, been to sea twice, moved to Scotland, and had one kid. So far shes right but Im not so sure about marriage cause not much else happened after that! ( only joking if my fiance reads this)

I definately believe in fate - and i think you should have 'Touched Wood' when you said this, so as to save yourself the pain of two broken bones! I will not go past a magpie without saluting him and asking after his family - 'Hello Mr Magpie, How's your wife and children?' This is a family tradition that all women in my family do, and i still believe it. Never try and get out of work by faking a doctor's appointment, because you will get ill and need to go to the doctors. Never fake an illness, as you will end up contracting that illness, or one similar. When i was a kid, my mum refused to allow us to play doctors, pretending to have a broken arm or leg, because she firmly believed that that would end up with me one of us in hospital waiting for Xray. DO NOT TEMPT FATE - IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS!

l think there is premonition, which could be called tempting fate, for example we can predict ...most likely...the next few minutes, with a degree of cetainty..but as time is further away the harder prediction is...however if for example you went skiing every day, then a broken limb would be more predictable...

Yeah, Fate pricked up his ears when you said that and arranged an elaborate prank to teach you a lesson for stating a fact.

Damn that tricksy Fate!!!

Well, there's all these parts in your brain...the bit that does the 'what you focus on you get more of' bit,....then there's the bit that does things like make an annoying song run in your head all day long....and there's that bit which is like a personal internal saboteur which does things like spill wine down your front at a posh party...now if these all get together.....

I believe so. I know it's horribly superstitious of me and I should be shot for it, but any time I catch myself becoming smug about something, I immediately knock on wood, and address the god of whatever-it-is and say "I meant no harm. Don't hurt me!"

That's the key I think - whenever you are SMUGLY satisifed about something, fate loves to kick you in the ***.

Once is a happenstance, twice is a coincidence
Avoid thrice at all cost because that's enemy action. Good luck from now on.

Well, as a local DJ used to say: "No matter how frustrated you get, don't stalk outside, look up at the sky, throw your arms up and demand 'What's next?', because He'll SHOW you what's next..."

Wisdom, in my opinion.....
