I agree with the What if he didn't molest that kid situation - cause that can cause huge problems

However having said that I'm not a parent, but the mere THOUGHT of someone touching or hurting my future child makes me see red. I don't know if I'd kill the bastard but I would certainly seriously maime him!!

I hope the girl wasn't attacked but if so I hope they prove it and her father doesn't go to jail. I think she's been through enough and would like her dad to be a part of her life

Well it never says it was confirmed or any evidence was found of the man molesting the child. He should have taken it to court, done some investigation instead of murdering the man. The child molester in question should not have gotten murdered because he didn't have or wasn't a registered child molester, and only the girls testimony was there, no other evidence. An investigation would have been the better way to go and try to find out the truth before the father of the child did what he did.

I can't even imagine what I would do if I was told my 2 year old child was molested.

I saw this story on CNN this morning and I cried when I saw the look on the father's face.

Of course it's not a legal response but, as a parent, I have to say that if my husband or I were told that had happened to one of our children, that would be our first impulse. The father was obviously temporarily out of his mind with anger/grief/horror/rage and broke through a window to reach the abuser. He wasn't told his daughter might have been abused by the neighbor, he was told she was. He had already made calls to the police about inappropriate behaviour from this man so it probably wasn't hard for him to believe and accept what he was told and it drove him to that kind of rage. (he'd called police because the guy was exposing himself)

My heart and prayers go out to him and his family.

The only question is whether the child was indeed molested.. in the case that child was molested, I'm not going to shed a tear for the murder victim.

However, jail is still needed for justice, because if this man can take the law into his own hands once, who's to say that he won't do it again for whatever reason.

This man was protecting his family and will now pay the ultimate price. He was sane when he killed this man and he, most likely, will serve his time happily in prison, knowing his daughter will not be molested by this man again.

It is unfortunate that he took the law into his own hands, though. If this guy did rape a child, he could have been put in prison himself and made to pay for what he did.

I don't know if it was the appropriate thing to do, but I like to think I would have done the same thing if I were in his shoes. Some things cannot be measured with a standard ruler...

I think they should let the law handle it. If he was molesting that poor kid, who knew how many others he was doing and how many years he could've faced in prison.

I don't believe in an eye for an eye. However, I've never been put in this situation, so I don't know how I'd react.
