They are brainwashed. Boy will they be surprised when the economy tanks, there house is under water (mortgage more than value) and Bush is still clueless, but out of office.
The worst is yet to come: the Treasury robbed by tax cuts for Bush's wealthy cronies, the war and imports paid for by IOUs to China, their grandkids will have to pay for it. Without jobs to pay for it with.

Took over an unarmed country? Boy, where did you get that info? They DID have WMD. Oh yes, our country has been wrong before and will be wrong again but the past wrongs have nothing to do with our war on terrorism of which Iraq is one front. Everyone that is in their right mind hates war. Why can't you understand that we are in a war that will determine the survival of western civilizations? If and when you do understand this, please provide your support in the war and/or shut up.

You are complaining about Iraq. Just wait until they invade Iran because the whole world knows they will. It is just a matter of time. Things will get really ugly then. If you ask around, some Americans (not the native, obviously) really think that they have brought peace, democracy and prosperity into Iraq. That the loss of human life can be taken for granted because the free people of Iraq will be grateful in the end. I have never ever heard such nonsense in my life and I have heard a lot.

Yes. It's confusing. The honor certainly belongs to our children who are putting themselves in harms way. They are the most honorable aspect of this whole debacle (on both sides!). So it's tricky for many to speak of the war as DIShonorable because we have trouble separating the status, goal, and basis of war from those doing the job. Having said that... The act of building schools and fixing the infrastructure and everything else involved in "winning the hearts and minds" of the Iraqis is, actually, honorable.. and that's part of it, too. We forget that part sometimes due to the insurgents and the death and horror that have (rightly) taken over our news and have pushed the administrations poll numbers below 40%. I guess the bottom line, at least in my head, is that depending upon how you look at it, the war is either:
A) a battle worth fighting for given the consequences of a mid-east solely controlled by Islamic Fundamentalists
or
B) a debacle of unimaginable proportions

I'm not American, so I can only guess: Might it be that the media most people are getting their information from are of a certain political shade? Might there be a widespread racism about "how dare those medieval dessert dwellers resist us/ have more oil than us" you know, that kind of thing. Keep fighting the good fight against ignorance and bigotry, and the best of luck.

I sent a letter to my elected representatives, including President Bush, on September 12, 2001. in this letter, I stated that U.S. foreign places coverage, as evidenced via Operation Ajax, U.S. involvement interior the Iran/Iraq conflict including fomenting it over oil and helping Iraq with weapons and armed forces intelligence, radicalization of Afghan schoolchildren with U.S.-provided textbooks urging non secular-based opposition to foreign places armed forces forces, CIA training camps that knowledgeable insurgents to instill patriotic separatism to combat the Russians below the direction of Osama bin weighted down whilst interior the hire of the CIA, and the unconditional help of Israel and her aggression have been the motives of the 9/11 and different assaults against the USA. In reaction I gained numerous "thank you on your interest" letters and a gentle 8 x 10 of President and Mrs. Bush. That grew to become into when I left the Republican celebration.

Repuglicans are without a doubt the most mentally diminished of the population, they just are unable to think for themselves. That is why they think that Iraq was right, they have been told that over and over by Rush Limbaugh and Faux news and since that is their only two sources for information that is why that they think that way.

I'm patriotic over Iraq. I wish they'd send me there so I could get shot! I would like to spill my blood for no apparent reason.

The truth will be told when the historians tell the story. Vietnam was a good example. Your hate is good now do something positive with it. Don't just talk about it, put it into action.
